I have worked for years as a volunteer for Democratic candidates - always behind the scene. And have been a pol worker as well as registered voters for over 10 years. The great Nelson Mandela once said that it is better to lead from behind and to put others in front: especially when you celebrate when nice things occur. As a proud loyal Obama supporter I will continue to work very hard not just while I am running for delegate on the National level but will continue after Obama becomes our president as well. Like so many I too am excited that after the last 8 years of a shameless Bush presidency, we can finally begin to get our country back; that we will finally get a leader who understands and follows the constitution - that great document that has been tramped on by Cheney/Bush and their poor excuse for an attorney general, Alberto Gonzalez - not to mention that other war criminal and architect of torture memos, Bush lap dog, John Yu. I want to be able to watch and listen with great pride to a president who is articulate, intelligent, and lets not forget tall, dark and handsome. Who will be a great role model for all young men, but especially for those of color who are so disproportionately represented in the unemployment rolls and who languish in prison cells by the thousands. I believe that with Obama as President we can begin to regain the respect and admiration that this country has lost during the past 8 years.
