Hello, my name is Jen Hauseman!

Home town: Born in Pottstown, PA, grew up in Kutztown and Reading, lived in Massachusetts for six years, but now an official Seattleite!
If I could live anywhere, it would be: Seattle, which is why I moved myself out here 12 years ago. Runner up: Amsterdam, which is why I'm learning Dutch.
My dream job(s): I've had it already, a couple of times. What I've learned is that there is no dream job, that no job can fulfill you completely. That's what family, friends, and good times are for.
What else you should know about me: My partner Therese and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary this year. Holy cow! | MORE ABOUT ME...
I joined this wiki because: I'm fond of wikis in general ... and of the awesome folks you'll find in this one in particular. I'm not a social networking person, but if there was ever a crew that would change that for me, it's the volunteers I've met since I started working for Obama. Also, I'm running for national, of course!
The best word to describe me is: strong-willed, especially when it comes to Obama!
Interests: Travel (I've researched European guidebooks as a writer and editor), pop culture (including video games and films), and junk food (I wouldn't know most foodie terms to save my life, but I can tell you the true secret ingregient in a Philly cheese steak).
Favorite movies: Harold & Maude, The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings. (I'll avoid making any we-have-to-take-the-ring-to-D.C. jokes here.)
Favorite TV shows: Lost (but honestly, who's had time for TV for the past six months?)
Favorite books: Commodify Your Dissent (Thomas Frank), The House on Mango Street (Sandra Cisneros), Fun House (Alison Bechdel), Plainsong (Kent Haruf), and everything by Jane Austen.
My hero(es): My mom, a second-wave feminist who forged her own path.
My superpower is: Bringing chaos into order.
