Imagine the reaction of the world the day after we elect Senator Barack Obama President . Our stature in the global community will improve immediately, offering us the opportunity to earn and reclaim our reputation among nations.

It feels so amazing to work for a candidate I truly believe in… a candidate who speaks to what is good in us, and who represents a hopefulness that we haven’t witnessed, much less felt in years.

Admittedly, wrestling with the decision of whom to support for the Democratic nomination in January and February of last year was tough for me because I worked in the White House for former President Bill Clinton. I am an attorney and I served as a special assistant to the President, and deputy staff secretary in the White House.

Ultimately, however, it was a choice about what is best for our country. I chose to become part of a powerful movement for change. And, what was originally a tough choice has been repeatedly reinforced throughout this lengthy primary battle.

Barack is such a departure from the divisive, ugly politics of the past. He is a man with the capacity to unite our nation so that we can start moving forward again and with the wisdom and judgment to lead us into a better future. He represents a true paradigm shift in American politics, and he is our future.

I am incredibly proud to be running to be a national Obama delegate for the 7th Congressional District.

Volunteer Obama Activities Since Spring 2007

  • Contributing member, 3 Obama policy development committees (consumer credit, reproductive health, and why women should support Obama)
  • Member, Northwest Finance Committee - Raised over $125,000. Assisted with fundraising events each time Barack visited Seattle. (Even helped with his first Seattle fundraiser in 2004 when he was running for the U.S. Senate).
  • Newly appointed member, National Finance Committee
  • Guest Columnist/co-author "Obama represents women's best hope," Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Feb 15 2008
  • Member, Washington State Steering Committee
  • Voter Protection Attorney
  • SEA 11-1928 Precinct Captain
  • 11th LD Captain

I am so very proud that you are going to be representing the 7th CD in Denver. Especially since you have befriended a rookie like me and helped me along through this process. I have learned so much from you. Again congradulations and I will see you in Spokane.

I'M VERY PLEASED TO SEE THAT YOU WILL BE REPRESENTING THE 7TH CD AND WASHINGTON STATE IN DENVER ! I HOPE AS YOU CONSIDER ADDITIONAL PERSONS TO ADD TO THE DELEGATION YOU KEEP IN MIND LONG TIME DEMOCRATS WHO KNOW THE ROPES AND WILL FIGHT ALL THE WAY FOR OBAMA WHEN THE "GAMES" START IN DENVER AND WHEN THEY END IN NOVEMBER AT THE POLLS.
