Hello, my name is
Rodney Proctor.

Rodney Proctor is President of Gladstone Enterprises, an environmental services company that he founded in 2007. He recently retired from the Weyerhauser Company, where he had worked since 1988, most recently as director of environment, health, and safety standard systems. Proctor has over 25 years of experience in the environmental planning and management field.
Mr. Proctor was born in Washington, DC on February 21, 1951 where he spent his formative years in the shadow of the White House. At an early age, he was active politically as he attended the famous "march on Washington" and worked as a youth volunteer in the campaign to get DC residents the right to vote in national elections. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Yale University where he spent the summer of 1972 working for Charles Evers, Mayor of Fayette, MS. During that summer, he helped Mayor Evers and others successfully unseat the "all-white" delegates to the Democratic Convention in favor of a racially-mixed and democratic delegation.
Proctor is married to Constance Proctor, a prominent attorney and community leader in Seattle. They have four grown children and 8 grandchildren. Mr. Proctor has a graduate degree in urban planning from the University of Washington and is active in many professional and civic organizations including the American Planning Association and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Science Center and the Independent Colleges of Washington. By Presidential appointment, Mr. Proctor serves on the Washington State Appeals Board for the Selective Service System in the event the system is ever reactivated.
I believe in Senator Barack Obama and what he stands for as a presidential candidate. We truly need an inspirational leader to help this country realize its full potential and to be transformed into the truly democratic society that our forefathers envisioned.
Please vote for me as a national delegate to make sure that Senator Obama is our next President of the United States. Thank you.
