| .WHY I'M A DELEGATE FOR OBAMA: Thank you for taking the time to support me in my candidacy. My journey began with my decision to attend a February 9, 2008 Democratic Precinct Caucus. As a result, I believe Change is inevitable...it is going to happen! As a 37th LD resident, I have lived in Seattle more than 20 years. My son graduated from Roosevelt High School. I have earned a Masters Degree among my many credentials, but, what I am most impressed with are Sen. Obama's credentials. For more than 30 years I have enthusiastically searched for practical ways to help wounded souls heal from various forms of abuse. I am now supportinig Sen. Obama to better serve these courageous people who have come into my life. Like Sen. Obama, I have dedicated myself to help identify ways to communicate across cultures and develop listening skills necessary to be attentive to the individual and their story. Also, like Sen. Obama, I learned the importance of "touching one life at a time" and "truly being present." Today, I seek your vote to stand on that floor and be a part of your nomination for Barack Obama as he is named the Democratic Nominee for President of these United States of America! I want to stand alongside thousands of others and join in one voice singing out "Yes, we can" with tears streaming down my face because I dared to have the courage to believe that Change is inevitable...and now it has happened! I remain committed and courageous along with you. | |
MORE ABOUT ME: I purchased buttons and distributed them to whoever wanted them. Welcomed conversations and sincerely shared my thoughts and reasons for supporting Sen. Obama. Traveled to Portland, Oregon to canvas voters for upcoming write-in votes. Daily I proudly wear my Obama button, shake hands, offer a return smile or comment in response to those who say, "I like your button" or "Obama." I am enjoying serving as an ambassador of hope and change.
WHAT I ADMIRE ABOUT BARACK OBAMA:
- He is sincere
- He speaks with conviction
- He is humble
- He will not allow others to label or identify him
- He's not just standing on the wall for his family, he's standing on the wall for me and my family
- He knows it is his time and he is courageously answering the call
