Thanks, Jody!

Hi Jody,Thanks for sharing about yourself the other night, and thanks for the buttons. Man, my hand was getting sore after my measly 50 buttons worth--you've got a lot of will power put in the right direction--I am glad to see your creative energies going in such great directions. You've got me asking a lot of questions about the candidates thoughts on technology--I'm not even sure what a federal CTO would entail, but I'm excited for change in so many directions. If you have any recommended reads on Obama's technology rights stances, please pass them along. Keep on Buttoning! Anelecia 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Making buttons can indeed be hard work, but if you make enough of them and you start building muscles! I am glad you got a chance to make some buttons. I stayed up until almost 2am last night making buttons that were shipped out to 2-day FedEx to Gary, Indiana so they can have them before the weekend. When I called the campaign office there today it was buzzing with energy and excitement which was quite inspiring. Thanks for inquiring about Obama's stance on technology which is near and dear to my heart as I have dedicated the last decade to the tech industry and like Obama, I'm active in educating and supporting Net Neutrally. Obama's site has a nice overview of his policies on technology: http://www.barackobama.com/issues/technology/ In addition CNET's New.com interviews of the candidates leading up to Super Tuesday is a good read: http://www.news.com/8301-13578_3-9864581-38.html There is also a good article in the San Jose Mercury News from November where they talk about the role of a CTO in Obama's administration. http://www.barackobama.com/2007/11/14/obama_shares_his_tech_plan_tod.php I plan to make a tech section on my delegate page and provide more information about tech issues because I believe Obama will truly be a visionary president that will utilize technology to make government more open, more accessible and more efficient. Cheers, Jody 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
